Mar Fuertes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the East in Manila, Philippines. His major, Accounting, contributed greatly to the various managerial positions he has held  in hotels and resorts for over 35 years.  They include ASB Condotels, Millenium Plaza Hotel, Aura Hotels and Resorts, HSPI, Oasis Paco Park Hotel, Hyatt Regency Manila, Tagaytay Highlands and Secret Recipes Food Corp., and EDSA Shangri-la to mention a few.

Since 2008, Mar has been the Finance Head of Transitions Executive Search and currently a member of its board.
